Our latest addition to the Shah Vision Consultants team is Dr. Dixit Patel. He is a Chicago native through and through. He grew up in Itasca, IL and eventually chose to pursue his undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago. While there, he received two Bachelor’s degrees in molecular biology and business management. Soon after, he attended Illinois College of Optometry for his Doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Patels clinical interests are dry eye therapy, vision therapy for patients with “lazy eyes” and specialty contact lens for abnormal corneas after transplants, or patients with keratoconus.
Outside of work, you can find Dr. Patel spending time with family and friends with his wife at their home in Des Plaines; trying new food in the city, or Chicago sporting events.
